Baby blanket tutorial

As promised, this is the second project I made with the lovely Large spot pale pink fabric, I got from ABAKHAN.
This baby blanket was made for the Bonnie Babies charity and only hope they will like it.

I washed the fabric and ironed it.  Then cut the pink cotton fabric and the towel fabric 16inches by 24inches.

Then pin both fabrics, right side together and leave a gap.

Sew a 1/4 inch hem on all sides leaving a gap for turning.

Then using an overlock stitch go around the edges so it will not fray.

Then turn over and iron before top-stitching the blanket on the right side.

This is really easy to do and I hope it will be just right for those little babies. Have a wonderful day.

  1. Very cute! Any wee babe would be very snuggly in that. :)
