Hair band
Sharing a second tutorial using some of the other products I got from the lovely people at ABAKHAN. For this project I used Round Hat Elastic Black Thick and a button from the Bag of Buttons Antique gold 50g from ABAKHAN online store.
Firstly die cut two medium size and one small flower, from the Tim Holtz Tattered Poinsettia die from red felt. Cut a 17cm piece of round hat elastic.
Using a glue gun layer the flower and add the button to the centre of the flower. On the reverse add some glue and attach the hat elastic and then add some more glue and cover the join with a small piece of fabric. You could use some more felt but I used a piece of fabric I had on hand. Once the hat elastic is cut you will need to stop it from fraying by burning the edges. Do take care using a real flame when doing this, as fire burns.
This is the finished head bank and it works really well. Hope you have a go at making it.
Would also like to share the completed Anchor Baby Pouch which was another product from ABAKHAN.
Thank you for the visit and hope you are all keeping warm and safe.

The hair band is lovely Anesha and the baby pouch is so pretty - as well as practical. Hope whatever you are coming down with is only something mild and you are soon feeling better.

ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous projects.
Love your neat cross-stitching and the headband is great. Love the button in the centre of your flower!
Hope you had a good weekend.
Love Jules xx
Such a great headband. Those types with the big flowers on them are so popular right now. It's smart to make your own, they are so expensive in the stores. The little baby pouch is too cute!
