Scavenger Hunt Sunday

1.Sunset: Had to use a photo from my archive for this one. Not a great photo but I love the colours in the sky.

2. Black and White: Got this blue glass ball in the garden I that has all these lovely swirls in. Converted a colour photo to black and white.

3. Day in My Life: Had a hard time with this one but in the end decided to take a photo of my latest craft project on my craft table. I created something every day so hope that it fits the theme.

4. Four: This could have worked for the fifth theme but liked it for this one. Again my craft room came to the rescue with these four containers of glitter.

5. Colourful: Found one of my bags of buttons and love the colours a bit pastel but hopefully colourful enough. :)

Just had to join in with Julia's WOYWW as my desk is usable today!!!! Spent all day yesterday clearing it out and making cards for charity. I cheated a bit, there is some stuff on my floor but I am determined to use it or put in in the bin. Hope you have a great day and going to have a snoop.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

1. Stacked up- these are some of the ribbons I bought that are still waiting to be used.

2. Winter Wonderland- thankfully we had a hard frost this weekend and it felt and looked a bit more like winter.

3. Sweet- These are cola sweet which was part of a Christmas gift and they are very tasty.

4. Hole- This had me stumped until I took the photos of the ribbons and there was the hole!

5. Frozen- These were so many photos I wanted to include. This flower was still in bloom over the winter as it has been so mild but when we had the frost this weekend it just got frozen.

So glad I found this challenge, it has made me want to take my camera out and play.

DT for Crafting Time

New Doily Dies

Made a trip to my local craft shop for some sticky back canvas and what what else fell in my basket. Nina at , Crafting Time got these fab new dies, the one above is called Doily stacker circles. It's a really simple but I think it works. I used distress inks around the edges of the circles and Stampin up green ink for the Hero Arts leaves stamp and the Tim Holtz sentiment stamp. Using Aluminium adhesive tape

After my play yesterday using Tim Holtz background technique in his 12tags (#6) I wanted to see if it would work using Aluminium adhesive tape. If you could not get Tim's metal sheets then you can find this in a DIY store. It is not as wide so I had to join to pieces to cover my card but it works just as well. I used Claudine Hellmuth's studio paints and vintage photo distress ink. The script stamp is by La Blanche and not sure who the sentiment is from. Hope this little tip is helpful to someone.

Second post of the day: Grungy Monday 32

Did a bit of playing this afternoon and above you can see on of the ATCs I made. Entering this in Linda's Grungy Monday challenge 32: using a favourite technique from Tim Holtz 12 tags 2011. My favourite technique was the background from tag 6 which I used on my ATC. At first you think it will look horrid but once you try it, boy is it wonderful. I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder and Paint daubers to colour it. The flower was made from embossing and then punching metal from an old drinks can. The second photo shows the full sheet, which means I have another ATC to make.

Bet you can guess who this beautiful girl is. With the light so good this morning, had to get my camera out and take some photos of her. If you don't know this is my Skipper and she is a girl!!

Canvas

Gave this canvas to a friend for Christmas and hope she liked it. Really had fun making it, as I really had no idea where it was going when I started painting the background. It gradually, after many days, ended up as you see in the photo. Loved trying out my Golden gel with beds for the first time and have now used it on a much larger canvas. The text was computer generated and then used Sakura gel pen on top. Hope you have a great week.

ATC for a challenge

Hope that this weather is not causing you too much problems. Had a few things broken outside but nothing major here. While trying to tidy my craft desk I took a break and made this ATC for the challenge over at The Artistic Stamper : Vintage. I used three Artistic Stamper stamps in the background and a Tim Holtz (the car) and a the sentiment was a free stamp with a magazine. Inks used are Distress inks( scattered straw and vintage photo) and Ecogreen crafts ink (blotter). I stamped the car with black versafine ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I really like working in this format as it give me more courage to experiment.Have a great day.

January Calendar pages

Sorry for the poor photo, but the light is terrible. This year I have decided to do my calendar pages in a bound journal. This is my second year doing this challenge hosted by Kate over at The Kathryn Wheel.
I used Inka-gold paints blue and purple for the background and then stamped some images and added some stickers. It's a simple layout this month but I really like the colours. Hope that 2012 will be a creative one for all of you.

Cat card

Not a seasonal card but thought I would share it with you. Stamps used are all by Third Coast Stamps: Muu muu kitty (AP-178-G), Rocky Shore (FA-239-K) and The Muu muu fits (WSo-025-C).
I stamped the Muu muu cat first and masked it and then stamped the rocky shore. The scene was coloured with solvent markers and then the sentiment was stamped.

Made this digital layout from scratch using Photoshop and a could of digital papers from Funky Fairy. A little reminder of a great time in San Diego about three months ago. I can't wait to go back and experience some of the fab food and weather.

Been feeling rotten the last few days but thankfully much better now. Did manage to made some more cards for charity and get the floor in my craft room a bit tidy.

Mini-scrapbook

Tim's tags Day 7

This is my attempt at Tim Holtz Day 7 tag. I did not have the colours he used so I used my peeled paint and fired brick Distress Stains for the background. I used two Club Scrap stamps on the background. I punched the holly leaves from green paper and cut the branches by hand. I added peal paint dauber and stickles to the branches. The heart was coloured with alcohol inks. I stamped the greeting stamp (by The Artistic Stamper) onto packaging and embossed it with the Wow power. Really please with the background on this tag. Have a lovely day.

Tim's tags Day 3 and Gingersnap Creation ATC

I am amazed that I am keeping up with Tim Holtz 12 Day of Christmas tag! The tag above is my take on his Day 3 tag. I used the technique of making a customised inkpad for my message stamp( Penny Black) and spayed it with Glimmer mists (gold and bronze). The other technique I used from Tim's tag is the heating of the twine and boy does it work well! Hand cut my holly leaves and added a gem brad and a couple other pieces of die cut paper. Hope you like it.

Decided to make this ATC for the Gingersnap Creations: GC125: Chestnut Theme Challenge- Farm Fresh. This free stamp from this months Craft Stamper was perfect and teamed with the wire background from the Artistic Stamper and a glimmer mist background works well. Have a great weekend.

Tim's 12 days of Christmas - tag 2

Was not sure I would make this tag today but had a go in the end.If you don't know what this is all about visit Tim Holtz website and see the wonderful tags he is creating for the next 12 days. I did not have most of the products, but adapted what I had. The paper I had was one of Tim Holtz kraft resist paper, but not the holiday one, so I cut a section out and embossed the Merry Christmas with clear embossing powder and used white brilliance ink pad over it as I did not have the stain. I then stamped the bird in the corner and coloured it with Distress and other inks. The base is a Sizzix hill and I used Inka-gold to colour it but then distressed it as Tim showed. I used Vintage photo distress ink on the edges. The flower I mad by die cutting the base from grunge paper with a Tim Holtz die and then coloured it red Inka-gold paint and stamped it. Tim Holtz 12 tags of Christmas

Tim Holtz is doing his 12 Tags of Christmas again this year and I am hoping to keep up this year. I have been following him from the first year he did this and every year he manages to come up with something new and exciting. This is my version of Tim's Day 1 tag. Did not have any of the supplies he used so I just used what I had. I used Core'dinations colourcore cardstock and a cuttlebug embossing folder for the background technique which I love and have to use again. The flourish is a Tim's die and the banner is from Sizzix. Added the flowers and charms and stickles glitter. I am please with the ribbon and but could not seem to get it as crinkled as Tim's. Hope you like it.

December Calendar challenge

Can't believe it's December already! This is my December journal calendar and I had a lot of fun making it. Sorry for the poor photo but the light was not great. Made this card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge: Christmas+Red and Embossing. The Penny Black image is called Lamb and Mistletoe and the scroll is a Hero Arts stamp. Decided to share my desk with the world. Julia at Stamping Ground hosts the WOYWW every week. Can you believe I have been trying to clear this for the past couple of weeks and there is still layers of paper and other stuff on it! My floor is mostly clear except for about four boxes so that's progress. The blue card on the left is what I am working on,trying to get some more cards done for the Cancer Research charity shop. Christmas card

Wanted to share a couple of projects I made recently. The card above was made using Winter Mushroom House (DT-092-N) by Third Coast Stamps. Coloured with watercolours and Sakura gel pens and the edges were inked and frame drawn. There is also an Over stock sale while stocks last over at Third Coast Stamps!!!

This is the tea cosy I made for my MIL, I know she likes floral prints, so hope she will like this. I used metallic threads to quilt around some of the flowers and then added hotfix gems to the front. Really please with my second every tea cosy.

Unfortunately doing a lot of stitching and other activities my shoulder and wrists are playing up ,so need to rest it for a few days. Sorry if I can't visit all your lovely blogs for a little while. Have a great day.

Normally I am just too ashamed of my desk to join Julia at WOYWW but not today. Just made this Tea Cosy this morning because I wanted to do a test run before making a full size one. Had to unpick it once but pleased with the finished article. Three is free hand embroidery on the back and the front and I tried to write tea but it did not work as well as I had hoped, more practice needed. Little secret this is my sewing desk not my craft desk, that is still too messy to show.

Christmas card

Anyone who has read my blog for a while knows I love cats and as you can image this cat image from Third Coast Stamps is something I just love. All the stamps used in this card are by Third Coast Stamps : Fanci Cast Cool cat (CO-089-I), Winter brook (AP-193-H), Grass in snow (AP-464-cc) and Peace on Earth (WS-165-B).
Cat image stamped and coloured with Pro-markers and Copics. The grass ( background and main image) and frozen brook were stamped with sky blue brilliance ink. The sentiment was stamped and the faux stitching was added.

Stamps used are: La Blanche (scroll), Magenta (Willow Catkin Branch), Stampendous (Agapanthus Long), Inkadinkado (sentiment), Stampendous(Oak leaves) and Stamps Happen(When Autumn comes). Mediums used were watercolours, inks, oil pastels and inkagold paint. The circles were punched out and edged with chalk ink. Must admit this looks much better in real life than in the photo. Here's hoping that November will be a great month for everyone.

Christmas card with a difference!

Not the typical image you would associate with a Christmas card. This adorable image is from Third Coast Stamps and is called Penguin father and son (VB-210-M) and and so is the sentiment, the Peace on Earth (WS-165-B). The background was done with watercolour papers and dark blue watercolours and salt. The image was stamped twice and the head decoupaged. A piece of white card was torn and glitter added to give a snow effect.

Life is full of it's ups and downs and thank God for the UPs!! My little treat today was this adorable little stamp from Crafting Time (my local craft shop) and guess what they are having a Design Team call so have a look. If anyone has been to Crafting Time you will know it is full of good stuff and such friendly people.

This little stamp is by Inkadinkado (clear stamp) and the background paper is by Scenic Route Paper Co. both found at Crafting Time. Hope you have a wonderful evening even if the day was not so great.

Grungy Monday card

Over at Studio L3 Linda's challenge for Grungy Monday this week is 'Tim in Ten'! This is the card I made for this challenge and was made in 10 minutes. I used Tim Holtz Distress ink : Shabby shutters, Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade. The stamps used are free Craft Stamper (leaf), Third Coast Stamps Silhouette branch (CM-263-O) and Flying Black Birds small (CM-265-B), and sentiment by Inkadinkado.

Also entering this card in the Gingersnap Creations :GC123: Random Redhead Challenge: RAVENS. Hope my ravens count.

Don't you just love this image! When I saw it I just had to have it so I bought it. The main image and sentiment can be bought as a set of two stamps (Witch in Cauldron set AP-WCS-S) from Third Coast Rubber Stamps. For those of us in the UK the shipping cost is very reasonable and the stamps are great quality. Please pay a visit to the designers blog Third Coast Creative Coterie where you will find some wonderful inspiration.

The main image and sentiment were stamped on white card and cut out. The image was coloured with watercolours and highlights added with Sakura gel pen. The edges of both were inked and frame drawn. The base card was stamped with the spiders web (Sirius Hobby). The images were attached to the base card and the frame drawn.

Little something I made

Made this brooch for my new sister-in-law birthday. The fabric for the leaves were dyed with sprays and cut cut out with Sizzix dies. I did a bit of free hand machine sewing on them and I really like how it turned out, she loved it. The background stamp used in the card is from Rubber Stamp Consepts. Been working on some cards but can't show them as well. Weekend is almost here so hopefully will have more to share soon. :)

San Diego is great!

We had a wonderful time in San Diego. Photo was taken at the San Diego Zoo, which was a great place to visit. Still not back to a normal sleeping pattern which means my body is just so tired!! We had wonderful weather except for the day we were leaving, perfect timing. Will share more photos as I get them sorted. More crafting projects will be on it's way once my brain begins to function again. :)

I used home-made glimmer sprays for the background and then stamped the tree and leaves (Sunday International) and coloured with watercolours. The dot stamp is from Artistic Stamper. Extra colour was added with oil pastels. My entry for the Calendar challenge over at The Kathryn Wheel.

My second post for the day. This atc I made for the Artistic stamper September challenge- numbers. The background was sprayed with glimmer mists. I stamped the Artistic Stamper 'Dance dictionary background on part of the background and then over stamped with the Club scrap stamp. The text is also a Club scrap stamp and the bat cat is from Third Coast Art Stamps. Have a lovely day.

Birthday card

Good morning and hope you are having a great Monday. The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day. Had to make two birthday cards today and here is the one I made for my brother-in-law. I first stamped the Penny Black cat image onto the base card, then masked it and stamped the ink block by rubbadubbadoo. I then masked off the sections not stamped and sprayed it with two mixtures of home-made glimmer sprays. Then the image was coloured with watercolours, Faber-Castell Pitt pens and Derwent graphitinit pencil. I then stamped the sentiment four times and hand-drew the border. I am really please with the how this card came out and it does look better in real life. Entering this in the 365 Card challenge Day 208. Have a great day.

Sharing two projects

Made the wedding card yesterday for friends who are getting married this weekend. Used the lovely Lilly of the valley wedding carriage image and coloured it with watercolours. Used a Artistic Stamper background stamp and silver brillance ink for the background paper. Stamped the heart stamp onto pattern paper and all were edged with the silver ink. The frame was hand-drawn.

Made this little quilt for my Skipper and she is loving it. The central panel is a printed design which I then stitched over to add detail and added the four panels around.

Hope you are all having a good week so far. Can't believe how quickly the days are coming and going. Made this wedding card above for my brother-in-law and is soon to be wife. They are getting married next week. The image is a Lilly of the Valley stamp and coloured with watercolours and Sakura glitter pen. The scrolls are La Blanche stamps which I use a lot.

Made this journal page yesterday and entering it in the Scrap Theme and Sketch challenge (29O). I used watercolours and oil pastels for the background and colouring the images. Used blue masking tape on the bottom and added detail with a black pen.

Layout and Skipper

Tried to continue cleaning my craft room today but got distracted and may a layout instead. Not sure when the photo was taken but it was at my Secondary school with three of my friends. It's a shame of we loose touch with school friends. I used La Blanche and Third Coast Rubber stamps to stamp over the pattern paper. Coloured the images with colour pencils. Entering this in the STS September challenge (CH24K).

Penny Black Saturday Challenge entry

This digital layout is being entered in the Scrap Theme and Sketch challenge for September (CH23K). Bought my new machine a few months now and could not play for almost two months with the house in a mess. Finally I have got my sewing space organized and loving my machine. Have been making a few little dresses as you have seen but hoping once my shoulder gets a bit of rest I can begin to practice doing some free machine embroidery exercises again. For my digital page I used digital papers from Funky Fairy (no longer available) and used some of the elements in Photoshop to add the flowers etc. It's a simple layout but I am pleased with it.

Sewing, stamping and having fun!

What a lot of rain we have this in the last couple of hours! Thankfully yesterday I took time to have a good play. Made this hanger using this great Third Coast Stamp I bought about 4 years ago. The background was made by applying Distress Ink (fired brick) bought from my local shop Crafting Time and then embossed the image with WOW embossing power in black. Inked the edges and using white Sakura pen faux stitched around the edge and highlight with a silver Sakura pen. Had these beads for ages and think they work well here.

This is another dress I made yesterday for the 'Dressing a girl around the world project.Really please with how it turned out as I had to join two pieces of fabric to make it up (not done that before). Have one more to finish. Huge thank you to my friend Emily for the lovely fabrics!

New sewing projects

What a wonderful bright, hot day it has been. Decided to leave housework for today and do a bit of sewing. Made two more dresses for the Dress a Girl around the world project which is being collected by Louise. It has taken me a few hours to make these dresses but it was fun. Finally got around to finishing this fabric ATC I was working on. I had the calico sprayed and not got around to doing the stitching, it's not fancy but as a first attempt I am please with it. Hope you enjoy the rest of the beautiful weather.

Third Coast Rubber Stamps have released there new set of Halloween stamps and you can get 20% discount! This fun cat image is one of the new stamps called Bumble Boo: VB-380-N. The background was made by sponging acrylic paint onto black paper. The Bumble Boo image was stamped, coloured and cut out. Hope you are having a good Saturday. Still busy trying to get the house back in order after getting the floor done. The floor looks wonderful but has it's first scratch and dent already! Made this card for a friend who had a baby boy recently. The Hero Art image was stamped twice onto 300gsm watercolour card and coloured and decoupaged. I doodled around the pattern paper and then stamped the sentiment. It's a simple card and hope she likes it.

Dress a girl around the world project!

There is an appeal for people to make dresses for girls around the world. You can find more information and templates by visiting Sew Scrumptious and the Dress a Girl around the World. I really wanted to make some of these dresses but I am not great at sewing. This is my first attempt using one of the templates and I did make a couple of mistakes but a bit of unpicking and it all good. Not sure if this one will be sent out as it's my trial run, but hopefully the others will be better and some little girl (s)will love to wear it. Just think that we need to be thankful for all that we have and share some of it with others.

My second pennant

I am really pleased with this one as I coloured the fabric with spray dyes and used real leaves to mask it and then used hand and machine embroidery on it. This is for the Quilts4London project. Had not done anything like this before so I was so pleased with the completed pennant. Must admit the colours look so much better in real life. Hope you have a great Friday. Floor is almost completed, only the door and some bricks to be done. Not looking forward to moving everything back as my shoulders are really hurting from all the heavy lifting. Trying not to get another frozen shoulder!

Halloween card!

Third Coast Stamps have released new Halloween stamps and this is one of the adorable stamps. I will have more cards to share with you soon. I coloured him with watercolours and used distress inks for the background. The Card candy was from some candy I won from Kath, so thank you. I printed the sentiment on the computer and used a Stampin up punch. Hope you like it. It's rain and more rain here.

New layout

Simple layout as I wanted the photo to stand out. I machined stitched the siz-zag pattern around the page and then added the second layer (sprayed with mica and ink). The flower at the top was cut out with my Sizzix electronic cutter and stamped and inked. The stamp at the bottom is a Third Coast Stamp. Entering this in the STS July/August challenge -CH26B. My sewing project!

This does not look like much but for someone who has not done this type of sewing for over 20 years I am pretty happy with it. My friend Emily kindly showed me how to use a ready-made pattern and we spent the entire morning making this. I added the darts and adjusted the sides as it was too big and now I don't mind wearing it. Also added some machine embroidery to the neck , with my new machine. Not sure I want to do this again!!

Another pennant and sketch book pages

Hope you are having a good Friday. Been doing a bit of stitching recently and just wanted to share the latest pennant (#3) I made for the Quilts4London project. I am really enjoying trying out new ideas and techniques on such a small format and knowing that it will go to a good cause, makes it even nicer. The pink fabric was donated by a friend and the leaves were some scraps of Calico I had dyed with sprays. I used my machine to do some free machine embroidery on the leaves and stem, not perfect but I am pleased with it. Thank you for lovely messages you left, much appreciated. Thankfully since Friday I had not had another migraine!!! Still feeling very tired but I am sure that will pass. These are two projects I did over the last couple of days. The card is for a friend's little girl and I love this PSX stamp which I got on ebay. The teddy bear was stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with watercolours. The other stamps used are La Blanche (flourish) and a free stamp. Gina at Fan My Flame is doing prompts, for a sketch book and I decided to have a play. My colour choice as you can see, is green and used the same technique. Still have the second part to do, maybe tomorrow. :)

Cat Saint Card

Not been such a great week with daily migraines and have wiped out days. Yesterday I took a course on machine embroidery with Gina Ferrari and learnt some great things. Just a shame I was having migraines during the class, so did not get as much as I would have liked. Still had a good day. Decided to share this card I made. The cat stamp is from The Third Coast Art Stamps and called Saint Tigger: DT-282-M. The lace I got from a local market stall and the background paper was free with a magazine. The frame is a SeeD's stamp. Hope you like it. Have a great Friday.

What a strange day it has been rain, then lovely sunshine, then rain and sunshine again. In one of sunshine periods I took my camera out and got this shot of a butterfly (below) enjoying my herb patch. The main cat stamp is from Third Coast Rubber stamp one I had for many years and still love as it reminds me of my Skipper. I used an alphabet set to stamp the words and an Artistic Stamper stamp for the background. The frame was hand-drawn and image coloured with watercolours.Would like to enter this card in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything goes.

Finally got around to posting this ATC for Grungy Monday #15 challenge using Tim Holtz technique on the background. I used Shabby shutters and vintage photo. The stamps are from The Third Coast Art Stamps Big Girl Panty Set number CH-BGP-Q.

Hope you had a great weekend. Got the lounge partly packed but still have lots of furniture to move. Can't wait to have the new flooring put down! Here is a bookmark I made using some wonderful Third Coast Art Stamps: AP-228-D Herd the Moos? and AP-ANT-X Active Ants set. Cut a bookmark size cream textured card and stamp the cow stamp at the top and the ant at the bottom. Colour the cow image with watercolours and free hand draw the frame. I really love this set of ant stamps as they are perfect for that little touch of fun. Entering this in the Stamp Something challenge: Bugs or Butterfly.

The sun was out again today in all it's wonderful glory so decided to have a play. Made this tag using Tim Holtz technique as required from Studio L3: Grunge Monday 14 challenge. I used stormy sky and spiced marmalade re-inkers to make my sprays. Just love how the orange mixed with the blue to give this lovely shades of green and the sheen is fab! Use my trusty homemade bubble-rap stamp and stamped it with the pearl paint dauber. The border stamp is by Judikins and the sentiment by Stamp-it. Have a great day and thank you for visiting.

Sewing projects

What a beautiful sunny day. Spent the morning sewing and made this dust cover for my new machine . It took me 3 hours from start to finish. The top is quilted and it is fully lines. I know it's not perfect but I did it all from scratch and I am really please with it. The pennant I made for the Quilt4London project, each of the members of our craft group is making one. I did a bit of free hand embroidery which is not perfect but not bad for my first real attempt.

Calendar challenge and some sewing

What a busy week it has been so far but enjoyed every minute of it. These are my July calendar pages for the Calendar challenge over at The Kathryn Wheel. The background was made using my own blend of spray inks (pink and purple). The adorable ants and flying cat stamps are from Third Coast Stamps. The other stamps used are from Club Scrap. Really enjoyed making this one.

My Skipper sitting pretty in our crop circle! We did not want to disturb the bees so left the clover patch on the lawn. Bought myself a new sewing machine as I wanted to do a bit of machine embroidery. Today a lovely young lady called Jo kindly showed me some great techniques and the photo shows some of what I did today. I have done a bit more with the flower in the middle but took the photo before that.

This is my ATC for the Grungy Monday #13 challenge over at Studio L3. This week you have to use Alcohol inks and there is a great video by Tim Holtz showing how to use the inks. I used stream , currant and silver alcohol inks for my background. What a rainy day we have had! Our craft club went to lunch today and we had a great time. It was the first time I had even driven in so much rain and found it quite easy. :) Hope you have a lovely day.

What a beautiful sunny calm day we have had. Even Skipper was enjoying herself! Ok, I know that I am totally biased but she is the most beautiful girl in the world! Below is a photo of one of my cabbages I grew from seed. The vegetables are looking ok so hopefully we will have some lovely things to eat soon.

Just found this challenge, Drunken Stampers, and the challenge #71 is to use orange in your creation. My card is made using Third Coast Stamps: Miss Daisy and Cracked up. The sentiment is by Hero Arts. Used Distressed inks spiced marmalade and mustard seed on the topper and Adirondack woodlands rainbow ink with bubble wrap on the background. I coloured the Miss Daisy image with water colours.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge card

This is my entry for this week's Simon Says Stamp Challenge- Let's get Fruity -photo inspiration. I used this really beautiful lemon green pearl card for the base and printed out three of the Meljen's strawberry images, cut them out and coloured with Copics and Promarkers. The frame is hand-drawn around the front of the card.

Gingersnap Creations-Spicy supply- packing material

This is a great challenge from the Gingersnap Creations- Spicy Supply GC106 to use packaging materials in your creation. This project has been on the go for along time and this challenge gave me the inspiration to finally complete it. The covers are from a cereal box and covered with gesso and covered in ink and stamped. The black and gold material is from an envelope that had been heated and coloured with gold Inka-gold paint. The rosette was cut out using a Tim Holtz die and the flowers are by Prima. It is very different from what I normally do but it's nice to experiment sometimes. :) Have a great day.

Skipper asleep on the not so soft gravel! You would not think it would be the most comfortable place.

This is another layout of who else but my Skipper with her Daddy. This is for STS June challenge #7L.

I used several stitches on my sewing machine to decorate the page and I used embroidery thread which has a lovely sheen. Really like this photo of Skipper she was only about a year old when this was taken. Thank you for visiting and have a lovely day.

These are my June pages for the Calendar Challenge at The Kathryn Wheel. The background is hand-painted and then used various stamps to the edges. The boxes are not as neat as I would have liked.

New card

I was about to get dinner started when I look out and there he was walking across the lawn! This in only the second time we have seen a hedgehog in the garden in the two years we have been here. How sweet is he!

This is a 50th birthday card for a neighbour who signs in a band. I stamped the main image on some sprayed paper and embossed it. The composition stamp and the main image are by Club Scrap. The lovely vellum is the last piece I have from the sheet that the lovely Kimic sent me a while ago. Have a great day.
