Birthday card with a touch of orange

Just wanted to share this card that was created for a friend.  The background (above) was made by applying distress inks to white card and then using a mask add a darker colour on top. This darker colour was embossed with clear embossing powder  and the card was then edged with a gold pen. The flower stamps are by Sheen Douglas and the die used is Memory Box.  The flowers were coloured with watercolours.
Have a lovely week.

What a wonderful technique! I am going to try that myself. And the colors of the gorgeous background are exactly the colors of the flowers. Such a super card.
It's a pretty pattern and I really like the color, too!

It's nice to see a full on orange card! Why is it such a rarely used colour? I love it :-)
