Mixed media project

I found a lovely chunky piece of wood and had to bring it home. I sanded it down and then painted it with chalk paint. The next layer was texture paste through a leafy stencil. Then the wood was sprayed with various colours of acrylic spray ink and then Pebeo gilding paste was used around the edges.

The topper was made with stencils, inks, various stamps and dies. The poem was printed and cut up. Thinking  I may add some legs to it at some point.

Entering this in this months : Altered Eclectics July Challenge

I bought a lovely background stamp and stencil from a new company (to me) called UNIKO.  Here is used the stencil for the background and the stamp over it and on the flower. The sentiment stamp is from Visible Image.
In a very creative space at the moment so having fun getting messy. Hope you have a great day and thanks for the visit.

Two wonderful projects Anesha, super texture and colours on your canvas, and lovely composition of images on your card, Kate x x
anesha; both pieces are fantastic, but the wood piece is AWESOME; and the idea for turning it into a small table is great; or... do you have a way to hang it outside by the garden without it getting ruined ?? ☺☺♥♥
