One stamp, two cards.

Made these two cards yesterday but it did not go as smoothly as I had hoped. The topper I created in the second card is the second one I had to make as I lost the first one on my desk!!! (still not found it).  Technically I did not only use one stamp, but one main stamp. :)

The first card is a very simple one. I used a set of Studio light dies I bought a few months ago and the large sunflower image from free stamp set. The image was coloured with watercolours and decoupaged.

The second card, looks simple but took a bit more effort. The background was done using the shaving foam technique and a stencil. The topper was done by stamping the seed packet stamp onto scrap paper to make a mask. The image was then stamped onto white card and the mask placed onto top. Then the large sunflower stamp was stamped over the mask to place it in the centre of the packet. It was coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils and watercolours.

What pretty scalloped edging on your sunflower pot card, Anesha ... it mimics the flower shape wonderfully! Your seed packet sunflower really pops against the dreamy, abstract background ... the summer colours are delicious! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)

Your sunflower is the star of the show on both of these cards, Anesha! As long as you use one same prompt image on both cards, you can use any other stamps, dies, and/or stencils you like. I love both your designs and the wonderful coloring and detail work you put into them! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #27! Take care and keep safe! (Where is that first topper?! Been there, done that!) Hugs, Darnell

They are both lovely. I often find that simple looking cards take more effort to get right. Just think, when your other image shows up you will have a bonus card- some time next year maybe, lol. Love Dawn x
They're absolutely gorgeous! Sunflowers crew in somewhat crescent moon shape around part of my paternal grandparent's backyard when I was a little girl and I cannot help but see these vibrant, classic symbols of the warmer months without thinking sweetly of those happy days long past.
