Owl card

Finally getting some much needed rain. Love when it's cooler find it a lot easier to do stuff. Made this card using an old steam punk owl stamp from Third Coast Stamps, which has been in my stash for at least 5 years.  It was stamped using Versafine ink onto white card and coloured with Derwent Lighfast colour pencils.  The background was make with a page from and old book bought from a charity shop. I used various colours of Distress Oxide inks and a stencil to add some interest. Used some of the same inks around the owl image through a couple of stencils. The sentiment is from a stamp set which I got free with a magazine.

Your owl is wonderful, but your cats stole the scene. I love that the tabby has his/her tongue out and that the tuxedo is stretching and showing her toe beans.

The book page looks great. I love your colouring and so many great details like the added pattern on the owl panel.
Instantly eye-catching, totally fun design!

I hear you big time on the hot weather vs productivity front. We don't have central air or AC, and bake like pies for much of the summer. There are a lot of elements of this season that I adore, but that one isn't amongst them. Thankfully, if there's one thing that as good as certain here in Canada, it's that the snowy months will return again soon enough.
