My bucket hat

Found this wonderful pattern for this bucket hat here.  I followed the tutorial on A little gray blog. It's my first attempt at doing a hat of any kind and even though it's not perfect, I am please with it. Confession, I make a huge mistake of not adding the seam allowance to the templates, so it's a bit smaller than it should be. Gave it to me neighbours daughter who loves it.
Hope you are having a good Sunday.

I love the yellow hat. I think you are so smart to be able to make it. I know the feeling though of having something not turn out right. Years ago I tried my hand (once) at knitting a pair of argyle socks for my husband. When they were finished they fit me. His foot was size 10 men's and mine was size 6 women's!

This is such a cute hat! Althouh it turned out smaller than it should be, I'm sure your neighbor's girl will enjoy wearing the hat a lot!

Oh that's brilliant. I do hope you'll have another go and make one that fits you. Just the job for keeping the sun off when out in the open air. Wouldn't mind one of those myself so have bookmarked the links you gave us.

Oh, that's so sunny and cheerful...the perfect hat for Spring!! I've made baby hats before now but really like this pattern. Thanks for the link to the tutorial :-) Although if I make it, I'll have to add a huge seam allowance as I have got an ENORMOUS head...seriously, can never get hats to fit!
