Trying something different

Started making a birthday card this afternoon and this is what I ended up with. I had this Oak Ash and Throne - Third Coast stamp (now Third Stone Stamps) for years and finally inked it up. The background was made a couple of months ago with mainly Club Scrap stamps. The other background (with the face) was made with Brusho crystals and over stamped with the main image. I then decided to try stamping the image again onto white card and cutting the face out. The face was coloured with alcohol markers and the decoupaged. On the whole I am pleased with how it turned out and glad I decided to give it a try.
Don't know about you, but I find it difficult try something different. I know it's only a piece of card but whey is it so scary! When I find the courage it normally works out better than I think it would, just need to do it more often.

Hope you have a wonderful day.

Anesha, thanks for dropping by my blog today! After the Blogger reshuffle, I wasn't sure how many links I'd lost, so I'm really pleased to see you again! Loving the card, it reminds me of a green man (or woman!).
Hope you are well :-)

I think trying new things is scary too. I know it is just paper or cardstock, but there is that initial twinge of anxiety. You did a beautiful job on this. I love that gorgeous background and the face.
