Skipper is home!

Thank you so much for the kind comments and emails about Skipper. She is finally home and doing well. She is eating on her own and using her litter try again. She has a feeding tube in and her stitches which should come out next week.
Can't tell you how relived and happy we are to have her home. The preliminary results have come back negative for lymphoma, which is fantastic news. They think she got really ill due to a very large and hard hairball lodged in her stomach which they removed last Wednesday. She looks so funny with so many shaved patched, even one on her tail! :)

This is a bag I sewed and decorated for the vet student who was looking after Skipper. She took such good care of Skipper and I wanted her to remember one of her first patients.

Have a wonderful day.

Fico muito feliz por Skipper estar em casa e
livre de um diagnóstico ruim.
A bolsa que você fez para vet é muito bonita
tenho certeza que ela vai apreciar.

Oh Skipper we are so glad to hear you are home and that it was a hairball....we are very thankful that you'll rest and recover now at home!

I'm so happy Skipper is home and she is doing well! Glad the test result was good. So the culprit is most likely hairball. I hope she will be all okay as it's gone now :-)
It's so sweet of you to make such a heartfelt gift for the vet student. I bet she will be very happy to receive it!

What a fantastic photo of your beautiful orange girl. I'm so happy for you that she is doing well. One of my cats passed away from lymphoma, we still miss him, he was such a sweetheart with beautiful long fur (another stray that we took in). Take good care, Archie sends purrrrss...Shirley xx
