For a Lady and Great News

Sharing my creation as part of the DT for Stamping Sensations. The theme for this month at Stamping Sensations is ' For a lady...' .  Like to think that I am a lady (lol) and this card would suit me just fine.

Our lovely sponsor for this month is
The winner will get a £25 voucher to use in their store.

I adore these new cats stamps from Crafty Individuals and the one used in this card is 'Burglar Cats'. The image was stamped onto watercolour card using a stamping press to get a dark impression. Then used liquid watercolours, pan watercolour paints and gel pen to paint the image. Used  some very old Spellbinders shaped dies to create the base card and the layer (which was embossing).

For the great news (for me a least) 😀

Can't tell you how honoured I am to be on this wonderful team at We Love Chocolate Baroque. Great  excuse to busy more of these lovely stamp, that's how I justify it to hubby. lol
You can see Lesley from Chocolate Baroque on The Craft  Store TV channel on the 9th of July.

The winner of the challenge will get to choose £25 worth of stamps from Chocolate Baroque Shop.

You can use any make of stamps for the challenge but  those using Chocolate Baroque stamps will be eligible for selection by the DT for a future GD feature on the challenge blog.

The theme for this month's challenge is ' Beautiful Blooms'

For my cards I used one of the rose stamp and sentiments from the Harlequin Rose Rubber Stamp A4 sheet by Chocolate Baroque
The smaller rose image was stamped  three times onto white card and coloured  with alcohol inks. Tend to use a mixture of brands when colouring.  Used some Tonic dies and an  embossing folder to do the background on  which the roses and the sentiment were added.

My second  card used the Life is so much Better rubber stamp set and Flora and Fauna rubber stamp set by Chocolate Baroque. The lily image was stamped onto white card and coloured with alcohol markers and Derwent Coloursoft pencils. The image was then fussy cut using the Scan n Cut machine.  The sentiment was stamped onto the cream card and die cut. All the background dies use are Carnation crafts.

A beautiful post Anesha, I love the fun and funky Cats and I guess if was asked to choose a CI stamp for you that would have been it.

And I can see how inspired you are by CB's images and I love your take on both of these, the Arum Lily in particular looks beautiful in yellow against the delicate die cuts.

Welcome to the WLCB family.

What a wonderful set of cards and welcome to the WLCB design team. These cards are a pretty impressive first contribution, love them both. Great colouring on the stamps and wonderful showcasing with the die cut backgrounds. I have a scan n cut but strangely have never used it to cut out images. I always think that by the time I have got the machine out and set everything up I could have cut it myself! not so accurately of course. I really should give it a go sometime. Love those cats on your first card too xx
