August Stamping Sensations and We Love Stamping challenges

Stamping Sensations challenge August:Birds, Bees, Butterflies.

Two prizes of Lavinia stamps and stencil (photos not to scale). (Please note, we (Lavinia) cannot provide exchanges/replacements/refunds for any products received through this third-party giveaway).

For my ATC I started with  a 2 and a half inch by 3 and a half inch piece of white card. Used several different colours of Distress inks to colour the background. Then used several stamps from Club Scrap and Carabella stamps to create the background. One of Carabella's stamp with butterfly wings was stamped and coloured with watercolour paints. Then added the pen nib to create the body of the butterfly. The sentiment was stamped and coloured and glitter added to this and bits of the background.

We Love  Stamping challenge: Flowers

Our prize this month is a £25 store voucher from Personal Impressions (inc pps, winner meets costs of any additional spend). Personal Impressions is one of the UK’s leading brand managers/wholesalers/distributors in the arts and crafts industry, specialising in mixed media, papercrafts, card-making, scrapbooking and journaling. PI are proud to represent over 70 brands from global, recognisable brands to small, niche and new.

Decided that this time I would do something much larger than a card. Took a large wooden tag and then painted it with gray paint. Then added some designs using crackle paste and stencils. Then used various inks to spray the surface and let it dry. Next layer used different flower stecil and the crackle paste and left to dry. Then stamped flowers from Beccy's Place clear stamps, Sentimental, Geum and Lovely Lillies. The sentiment is a stamp from Craft Roo. The flowers were coloured with watercolour paints and cut out by hand. Added some Stickles glitter glue to the flower centres. Stenciled some of the designs onto  the sentiment in dye ink.
